Tractor Supply Massimo MSU-500 Prep Issues

My UTV is a Massimo MSU-500 we bought from the local Tractor Supply Store.  I love it and would still go the same route but there were many prep or setup issues that either came from the factory or were from the final assembly done at the local store.  I took care of each of the issues myself but should not have had to deal with them.

The issues included:

– Passenger and Driver seats were only secured to the latching base with a single bolt and nut.  There are 4 lugs that should be secured to hold the seats in place.

– Protective plastic left on light covers, interior, windows, etc.  This may not seem like a big deal but it quickly becomes one if the UTV is left in the sun for an extended period of time.  Instead of lifting off in a single piece the protective plastic pulls apart into hundreds of pieces and becomes sticky.  Lots of elbow grease and Goof-Off took care of the mess.

– The doors swing open but are pulled back to the closed position with 2 rubber pulls on each door.  2 of the pulls were broken when we bought the UTV and the other 2 broke as soon as it got cold old.  I ordered replacements online and they were a much more pliable rubber material and have held up since.

For a $6 thousand dollar item you’d hope more care went into setting these up for new owners.
